The Luxembourg government, through the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works, has joined forces with the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, POST and SES to enable Luxembourg’s presence at the Expo 2020 Dubai.
Visitors to the Luxembourg pavilion, entitled “Resourceful Luxembourg”, can use their five senses to discover the ingenuity, innovative spirit and commitment to sustainability of the country, sample reinvented national gastronomic specialties and join cultural events. The restaurant of the pavilion, Schengen Lounge, is managed by Michelin-starred chef Kim Kevin de Dood.
“Today marks the highlight of a journey that started in 2016 when Luxembourg was the first country to confirm its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai,” said the team managing the Luxembourg pavilion when announcing its opening on 1 October. “After the challenges of the past year, the need to come together to face upcoming challenges has never been more urgent. And that’s one of several goals of Luxembourg’s presence at Expo 2020: be part of a shared solution in a changing world.”
Economic programme
The Luxembourg participation at the Expo 2020 Dubai also includes an economic programme with trade missions organised in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce. The trade missions will cover topics such as ICT, space, sustainability, health technologies, and food and beverages.
