The Dubai World Expo opened its doors with a breathtaking opening ceremony, announcing six months of ambitious business program around the themes “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. Under the theme of “Resourceful Luxembourg”, the Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has already welcomed more than 150.000 curious visitors from around the world to experience Luxembourg with their five senses. A visit of our Pavilion offers indeed a perfect illustration of the country’s resourcefulness, its innovative spirit and its commitment towards circular economy.
Expo2020 is also a great opportunity for our country to display its expertise in several sectors of economic activities. Luxembourg companies are keen to join this journey with sectorial Trade Missions organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce together with the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in Abu Dhabi. Since the Expo kick-started, several delegations already visited the UAE such as the large ICT Mission around the GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) and Space Mission around the IAC (International Astronautical Congress). These missions saw more than 60 business delegates participating, thus demonstrating the strong interest and commitment of the Luxembourg business community to expand their presence in this dynamic region.
This ambitious economic program is built on a well-defined strategy that focuses on several priority sectors in Luxembourg. For instance, the space sector where Luxembourg is very much on the leading edge as illustrated in this newsletter by the recent launch of the first Space resources start-up support programme.
Don’t miss the opportunity to discover Luxembourg in Dubai through our Pavilion. Our team will be available if you would like to learn more about Luxembourg, your ideal getaway to Europe.
